DDD hosted by 6th grade
All Day

Memorandum

To: All Faculty
Date: 8/19/09
From: Paul Yarnevich
Re: Dress Down Days

Below is the schedule for this year’s DDD’s.

Grade Date
4 10/8
Pre-K 10/16
K 11/10
3 12/10
2 2/24
5 3/17
8 4/6
1 4/28
6 5/14
7 6/2
Comp. 1/20

Each grade level will again manage one DDD this year and the proceeds will be used for the service project, retreat and field trip of that grade level. All of the DDD’s will be $2 but they need not all be jean days. Each grade level is encouraged to be creative. You may consider:
A blue and white Trinity spirit day
A hat day
A sports jersey day
An all green day (3/17 is St. Patrick’s Day)
Hawaiian shirt day

Be sure to run your idea by me first and engage your students to advertise like crazy. DDD earnings last year ranged from just over $400 to nearly $1K so the potential is huge. Room parents and the monthly newsletters can help get the word out too!

Trinity Times deadline
All Day
 Hello Everyone,
Just as I mentioned in the staff meeting a few weeks ago, I am sending you an email letting you know the changes for Trinity Times this year as well as the themes and due dates.
This year, our plan is to have three issues printed that involves the whole school and a final issue at the end of the year dedicated entirely to our graduating 8th graders.
We would like 4 articles from each classroom( classroom, not grade level) along with an introduction from each teacher. This would be just a brief paragraph from you explaining what topic your students wrote about or the assignment you gave them.
We need the first set of articles given to Missy by November 5  We were thinking some topics for the first issue could be Fall, Fall Fest, Fall Sports, Community Service Projects etc. If you have questions at the elementary building please feel free to speak to Missy or Kristine Fox. At the junior high building feel free to speak to Missy or myself.  Junior High teachers, I will take care of Trinity Times during the students’ English class. I just wanted to make you aware of what was going on.
The second issue deadline is January 21. Some possible topics could be Christmas Memories, Advent, Winter Activities, Holiday Festival, Community Service Projects.
The third issue deadline is April 8. Some possible topics could be Spring Sports, Easter, Springs, Catholic Schools Week etc.
Finally the 8th grade issue will be due May 17th  In this issue the 8th graders will be thanking their parents for all that they do for them especially for sending them to Trinity.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask Kristine, Missy, Theresa or myself.
Have a great year. J
